Links for the border plugin Towny is here:
http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/towny-advanced/These two topics are very useful in how to setup towns and use the commands to designate permissions within the borders:
http://code.google.com/a/eclipselabs.org/p/towny/wiki/HowTownyWorkshttp://code.google.com/a/eclipselabs.org/p/towny/wiki/Commands You don't have to create a town, you can always become a member of another, but if your area is not within a town or outpost's borders, it is open to potential griefing.
*To start a new town, it costs
$250. Each subsequent chunk costs another
$10. Starting outposts is
$500, and turning your town into a nation is another
$250.
*Claiming blocks for your town is down manually with /t claim.
*Using /res set mode map townclaim lets you claim chunks as you move. Make sure to use /res set mode reset to turn it off before you waste all your money.
As an addition, explosions, fire spread, and mob spawning is by default turned off within town borders. This will remain unless we decide it makes the game too easy.
These towns are meant as a way to keep out areas safe when admins or mods are not around. The old rules still apply, this is just an added protection for all our hard work.
