PaidSwitch

Have you created a cool new thing that you want people to be able to try, but you want to earn a little CAAAAASH for all of your hard work? PaidSwitch is the solution to your problem!

Using this simple plugin, you can create switches that will cost other players money to activate. The switch can do anything from open a door to any other thing that you can think of to make a switch do. This plugin will work for switches, buttons, and detector rails, and technically pressure plates(but don't use them as there is a rare bug...if you use them anyways and someone gets charged a bunch of extra money, be prepared to face the consequences).

The gist of it is this:

1. Make a switch.
2. Connect the switch to a door or gate or piston or whatever.
3. Put a sign adjacent to the switch with:
Line 1 has to say "[PaidSw]"
Line 2 should be left blank (your name will be filled in automatically)
Line 3 should be the amount of money people will be charged for activating the switch.
Line 4 can be anything or nothing or something in between.
4. ????
5. Profit!

That's basically it....


A couple of things you may want to keep in mind though:

a. When using doors, you should probably use iron instead of wood.

b. When using doors, you may want to run a secondary circuit from the switch that will close the door after a few seconds. Otherwise, the door will just stay open and other people can walk through. If you need help with this, don't be afraid to ask...just be aware that the answer may be "check the wiki" if the person you are asking is busy.

c. DO NOT try to hide the fact that you are going to be collecting money from the person activating the switch! If you are caught using the plugin in a non-obvious manner, it will be considered stealing and punished accordingly.

d. Anyone circumnavigating an obvious PaidSwitch controlled door/gate/entry point will also be considered to be stealing and will be punished accordingly.

e. If you have no money, the plugin will still let you activate the switch...so stay away from them if you are broke-ass. If you absolutely, positively must do the thing that the switch is keeping you from doing; follow the links on this here forum and go vote for the server to earn some money![/strike]
